A narrative of resistance and culture

The story begins in 1885, when the last Burmese king was exiled, leaving a kingdom silenced. Among the treasures taken was the ruby Padamyar Ngamauk—a symbol of royal power—lost to British conquest but never forgotten. Its absence became a quiet wound in Myanmar’s history, waiting to be reclaimed. From this silence emerges a woman—fictional yet rooted in truth—who navigates two worlds, determined to restore what was taken.

Fused Identities

The collection blends the traditional Burmese garments with British tropical military wear to constructs the wardrobe she carries through her journey—a visual representation of resistance, adaptation, and cultural fusion.

Reinterpreted in clothing

Through her wardrobe, she embodies the duality of fragility and strength, told through the story of a spy symbolized by red crystal-embellished gloves.

Memory in Motion

Even in the West, she sometimes wears her dancer’s clothing—not for performance, but as a quiet remembrance. Though the stage is gone, its memory lingers, shaping the way she moves and carries herself through a different world.

The Echo That Remains

The world moves around her, indifferent and unchanged. There is no applause, no promised triumph—only the soft echo of her footsteps on foreign soil and the quiet ache of something lost, carried in pieces. Yet beneath the weight of her mission, a hope remains: that when it ends, she can return to the home she’s longed for, and that it will still welcome her back.
